The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and adjoining areas has invoked Stage-I actions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) due to the current ‘Poor’ air quality scenario in Delhi-NCR. This decision was made based on the review of air quality conditions and forecasts by the Sub-Committee on GRAP on October 14, 2025.

- Air Quality Status: The Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded at 211 on October 14, 2025, falling into the ‘Poor’ category.
- Forecast: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and IITM forecast predicts the AQI to remain in the ‘Poor’ category in the coming days.
- Actions Under Stage-I GRAP:
- All concerned agencies in the NCR are required to implement and strictly adhere to Stage-I measures of the extant GRAP.
- The Sub-Committee will monitor and review the air quality scenario regularly.
- Implementation: Agencies must ensure AQI levels do not slip further and intensify measures as per the GRAP schedule.
Key Points:
The CAQM has directed the Chief Secretaries of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to ensure strict implementation of these measures. The Sub-Committee on GRAP will keep a close watch on the air quality and review the situation for further actions based on IMD/IITM forecasts.

Amazing! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a totally different topic but it has pretty much the same layout and design. Excellent choice of colors!
